This Hytrel dust cover fits over the front shock absorber rod, left or right. It is 172 mm long.

The dust cover keeps grit and water off the shock absorber rod. A split cover lets dirt wear the seal, so the shock absorber starts to leak and lose its damping. Covers are cheap, so it is worth replacing them whenever the struts are apart.
