This aluminium rear wheel cylinder fits the left or right drum brake and has a 25.4 mm piston.
The wheel cylinder pushes the brake shoes against the drum. Electric cars use their rear brakes less because of regenerative braking, so the cylinders can corrode or stick. A leaking or sticking cylinder causes uneven braking, a pull to one side or brake fluid on the inside of the wheel, and is an MOT failure.
