EV Charger Port Cover | Magnetic Rain & Ice Shield
Wrap the charge handle and inlet when the weather turns. This magnetic EV charger cover sits over the port to keep rain, sleet and road spray off the connector so the plug is less likely to freeze in place overnight.
Magnets hold the cover on a steel body. It will not grip aluminium or composite panels. That means it is not for Tesla Model 3, Model Y, Model S or Model X. Use it on steel-bodied EVs and hybrids where the wing or port surround is steel.
The cover rolls into a tube when you take it off, so it lives in the boot rather than on the drive. Put it on with the connector dry. It is a weather shield, not a heated jacket – if ice has already formed, thaw the handle before you pull.

Will this fit a Tesla?
No. Tesla bodies are aluminium, so the magnets will not hold. For Model 3 and Model Y CCS pins use the CCS port dust cap.
Which cars does it fit?
Steel-bodied cars and vans where the port surround is steel. It will not stay on aluminium or fibre panels.
Does it stop the plug freezing?
It keeps rain and snow off a dry connector so ice is less likely to form. Fit it before the weather turns. Do not use it as a way to break ice that is already there.
How do I store it?
Roll it into a tube and keep it in the boot. Dimensions are about 510 × 30 × 30 mm when rolled.
Is this the same as a CCS dust cap?
No. This wraps the whole handle and inlet. A CCS cap only covers the unused DC pins on a Tesla CCS port while you Type 2 charge.
