Steering Rack Gaiter Kit 194 mm – Mercedes-Benz EQE, EQS, EQV & More

This steering rack gaiter kit (steering boot kit) fits the front left or right side. The thermoplastic boot is 194 mm long with inner diameters of 16 mm and 62 mm, and it comes with both clamping clips (38756 and 45633).

The gaiter keeps dirt and water out of the steering rack and protects the inner track rod joint. A split gaiter lets grit and water in, which wears the rack and the inner joint, and leads to knocking and loose steering.

Installation

Professional installation recommended. The outer track rod end has to come off to fit the gaiter. Count the turns when removing it and have the wheel alignment set afterwards.
