Installation
Simple direct replacement. Remove the old rusted ball studs and fit these stainless steel versions. No special tools required – usually takes under 10 minutes.
Safety Advice
You will need to support the weight of the boot lid whilst fitting these ball extensions. The boot lid will not stay in position on one support. It may take 15 mins per side to change and you wont hold it for that long.
Tools Required.
- 13mm ring spanner, ideally a flexible head ratchet such as this one on Amazon.
- Small flat bladed screw driver for for strut clips.
- Cloth for cleaning.
- Silicone Grease to re-grease ball caps. Available here.
- Clean the old thread lock out of the sockets before refitting. Thread lock should be used.
