This shock absorber protection kit fits the rear axle of the Volkswagen e-up!, e-load up! and SEAT Mii Electric. It is made from foamed polyurethane (PUR) and rubber.
The dust cover keeps dirt and water off the shiny damper rod, and the bump stop stops the suspension hitting metal on metal over big bumps. Both perish with age. A split cover lets grit wear the damper seal so it starts to leak, and a crumbling bump stop can cause a thump over potholes.
