This shock absorber protection kit fits the front axle of the Volkswagen e-up!, e-load up!, SEAT Mii Electric and Skoda Citigo-e iV. It is made from plastic and foamed polyurethane (PUR), and measures 300 mm long and 80 mm wide.
The dust cover keeps dirt and water off the shiny damper rod, and the bump stop stops the suspension hitting metal on metal over big bumps. Both perish with age. A split cover lets grit wear the damper seal so it starts to leak, and a crumbling bump stop can cause a thump over potholes.
