Renault Fluence Z.E. & Kangoo Van Z.E. Inner Tie Rod (Axial Joint)
This inner tie rod, or axial joint, with counter nut and locking washer fits the front axle of the Renault Fluence Z.E. and the Kangoo Van Z.E. (Kangoo II Express and Kangoo II Rapid). It fits the left or the right side of the steering rack.
The axial joint screws into the end of the steering rack and carries the outer tie rod end. Wear causes play in the steering, a knock when turning and uneven tyre wear. A split rack boot lets dirt in and speeds up the wear, so check the boot at the same time.
This is Febi 39690, made by the bilstein group. It replaces Renault part numbers 48 52 156 12R, 48 52 159 61R and 77 01 478 406. It is 209.5 mm long with an M14 x 1.5 outer thread.
