VW ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, Skoda Enyaq & CUPRA Born Front Brake Pads – For 340 mm Discs

These front brake pads replace the original pads on cars with 340 mm front discs, the most common size on Volkswagen Group electric cars and the Ford models built alongside them. Each set covers both front wheels and carries ECE R90 approval.

Front pads on these cars are matched to the disc and caliper size. The 340 mm set goes with brake PR code 1LB, and 1LF on some ID.4 and ID.5 cars. Other cars use 330 mm or 358 mm discs, listed separately. To check your size, measure across the face of your current front disc, look for the part number on the old disc or its box, or find the brake PR code on the vehicle data sticker in the service book or under the boot floor: PR 1LA is 330 mm, PR 1LB or 1LF is 340 mm and PR 1LC or 1LN is 358 mm.

You can also read the part number from the back of your old pads: 1EA 698 151 M, A or P means this set.

Installation

Professional installation recommended for best results. The electronic parking brake works on the rear axle only, so the front pads can be changed with normal tools. Fit new pads with new discs if the old discs are worn or corroded.
