Alpine A290 & Renault 5 E-Tech Steering Rack Boot Kit
This steering boot kit with clamps fits the steering rack of the Alpine A290 and the Renault 5 E-Tech, both built from 2024. It fits the front left or the front right end of the rack.
The boot seals the end of the steering rack and keeps water, salt and grit away from the rack and inner tie rod joint. A split boot lets dirt in, which wears the joint and can lead to knocks, play in the steering or a much bigger repair. Replace it as soon as you see a split.

Installation
Professional installation recommended. The outer tie rod end has to be removed to slide the boot on. Mark the track rod position first and check the wheel alignment afterwards.
