VW ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 & Skoda Enyaq Inner Tie Rod with Nut
This inner tie rod screws into the steering rack and carries the outer track rod end. It fits either side of the front axle on the selected versions listed below.
Inner joints wear more slowly than track rod ends, but a split rack gaiter lets in water and grit and can ruin the joint. The usual signs are a clunk through the steering, vague handling or an MOT advisory for play in the inner joint.
Check the outer track rod end at the same time, as both parts take the same loads.
